Dominican Republic: rain, kids and concerts

Happy Mothers Day!

We are all thinking of our amazing mothers today, sending our love and hugs back home!
The Dominican continues to bless us every day and we are all getting sad as our days become fewer and fewer. On Friday we finished painting the church we started working on early in the week, it was awesome to see a project we started completed and knowing how much of a help it was to Pastor Louis and his family. Friday we also helped put on an outreach for children at the church. Despite the rainy weather we had a great turn out. We were not able to blow up the bouncy house for the kids to play on but dancing and singing to songs, our Bible Story, improvised musical chairs game and snacks seemed to do the trick.
Yesterday and today have been relaxed days off as we have been recuperating from a busy week and preparing for another. Yesterday we went downtown to the local market and did some shopping and today we had church at the beach and a fun day playing in the ocean. Tonight Rick and Tamie are housing a rooftop promotional concert for one of the families of the CMA which we are excited to be a part of.
We ask for prayers as we enter our last week here in the DR for strength to finish strong and that our hearts will be at peace as we begin to prepare to go back home.
God Bless

  1. Sandy says:

Praying for all of you as you have begun this 2nd and last week. Continue to work hard and enjoy all that is ahead of you, but don’t allow yourselves to get caught up in the leaving. Seeds have been planted, relationships built, work has been accomplished. Know that the weeks ahead hold what the Lord has for each one of you as you return home.
“May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”
